The Lemmon family in Armstong County can be traced back into the 1790's. Thomas Lemmon who fought in the Revolutionay War settle on property and then removed to Lexington, Kentucky. His son Col. Daniel Lemmon remained and who nearly all Lemmon's in this area are descendents from.
